The next level of organization in the PC(USA) is the synod. The First Presbyterian Church of Downey, CA belongs to the Synod of California and Hawaii.

Synods are in turn composed of units called presbyteries; ours is the Los Ranchos Presbytery, which encompasses Presbyterian churches in south Los Angeles County and Orange County.
